The road along the bank of the river along the old market road bifurcates into two ways, one that leads to the fort and the other narrow lane that leads to the hospital. Walking further from the hospital, one arrives at the  government secondary school. The school is housed in two buildings and a playground for the children.Primary classes are held in the old building .  Behind the school is a cluster of 14 houses. These houses are mostly owned by the Sharmas. They are a part of the upper caste Brahmin community.  There are three major types of houses in this cluster, ‘a small chowkinuma house’,  the ‘L-shaped house’ or the baramdah /verandah house’ and the ‘shop-house' which mainly faces the street. One such small chowkinuma house is owned by Roshanlal Sharma, which is smaller than the one belonging to the Gupta family. Most men and women from this cluster go to work and the cluster seems very quiet through the day.

The community has now grown beyond its self sustaining capabilities, the older generation have no intentions of moving out as they have a deeper connection with their ancestry and activities in the town. The newer generations however have moved out to expand opportunities and explore beyond the cocoon that is Pangna, and those who stayed, have created a very introverted community within the settlement.
